La Truitelle has created and markets the first preserves of small fish with the Organic Agriculture label..
In 2008, François Isambert took over the Pisciculture de La Fajolle, located in the heart of the Cathar Pyrenees, at an altitude of 1150 m in the Upper Aude Valley. It was on this human-scale farm, which has been AB-labeled since 2001, that he imagined and carried out this totally new project: producing the first AB-labeled canned fish in oil.
Made from small trout from the mountains of Occitanie, they come in two ranges: one for aperitifs, the other for starters and snacks.
All the ingredients used in our recipes come from small organic farms that respect nature and people.
Outre le plaisir gustatif (12 références) et la valeur nutritive (Omega 3, 6 et 9), la Truitelle s’inscrit dans une alternative à la surpêche des sardines, maquereaux ou sprats – espèces en déclin et de plus en plus souvent contaminées par les métaux lourds et les plastiques – et à celle du « poisson-fourrage » et du krill transformés en farine….
